About Us

Karmichael Reed

Director of Operations

Karmichael Reed has over 20 years of commercial and residential property tax management experience. Karmichael has developed knowledge in all levels of property tax administration including mapping legal descriptions, researching properties and parcels, obtaining and reporting current and delinquent tax data, obtaining refund monies from taxing entities and resolving client issues.

In his current position as Director of Operations, Reed reports directly to the CEO, overseeing the Research, Verification, Current Tax and Special Services Departments. He works with all departmental managers overseeing company policy and best practices. Reed has a BS in Accounting from Roosevelt University.

Kevin Carsten

Director of Systems Data

Kevin Carsten came to National Tax Search in 2007 and now acts as the Director of Systems Data responsible for the accuracy all jurisdictional data and overseeing all jurisdictional relationships.

Prior to NTS, Mr. Carsten worked as Title Examiner and Escrow Officer to Commercial Land Title Insurance and Commercial Examiner at Chicago Title. Mr. Carsten holds Bachelors in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.

Fran Zochalski

Program Manager & Strategic Initiatives

Fran Zochalski, is a collaborative leader and certified PMI PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional). She has over 20 years of professional experience in operations and project management and over 7 years specialization within IT and business systems analysis.

Fran joined NTS in 2017 and is responsible for Business Systems Management, Project Management and serves as the IT Scrum Master, prioritizing and executing development, making sure that deliverables are on time with production quality.

Previous to NTS, Fran has held substantial positions within a number of Fortune 500 and mid-size organizations in the Retail, Insurance, Healthcare, Technology and Financial Consulting Industries, including True Value Corporation, Accenture, State Farm Ascension Health and Aon Hewitt.

Zochalski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from DePaul University.

Nancy Perez


Nancy Perez has been with NTS since 2003 and has over 23 years of experience. This experience consists of cash management, commercial and residential real estate tax management and mortgage servicing. During Nancy’s career, she has performed all aspects of property tax servicing including obtaining and reporting escrow and non-escrow delinquent and current tax information, escrow analysis, and mapping legal descriptions. Nancy was instrumental in developing and expanding the Cash Management department.

Nancy currently manages the corporate accounting/finance department; performing, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, procedures, B/S and P&L. Nancy holds an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Business Information Systems with a concentration in Accounting from Northwestern Business College.

Tanisha Pass

Portfolio Services & Client Management

Tanisha Pass came to National Tax Search in 2001 and now leads the portfolio services and client management team, overseeing the daily management of our most important asset, our clients. Tanisha has over 15 years of experience in the commercial and property tax research arena and occupies an essential role in nationwide tax reporting, property mapping systems and legal description interpretation.

Tanisha holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Roosevelt University.

Rudy Bustos

Portfolio Manager

Rudy Bustos has over 5 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate tax and financial management. His career with NTS began in 2013 as a member of the Cash Management Department, accountable for balancing, reconciling, and processing commercial real estate tax payments. Bustos current role is in the Customer Service Department as Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing client accounts and ensuring premier customer experience.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Economics from The University of Memphis. During his free time, he volunteers in the South Side of Chicago working with adults learning English as a second language.

Scott Rogers

Manager Current Tax

Scott Rogers has nearly 21 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate tax management and mortgage servicing. During his career, he has performed all aspects of property tax servicing, including mapping legal descriptions, obtaining and reporting current and delinquent tax information, non-escrow reporting, tax payment processing, refund processing, and analyzing escrow accounts.

In his current position, Scott Rogers manages the operations of the Current Tax Department and is responsible for collecting and reporting escrow tax information for upcoming taxes due, quality control of the current tax reporting process and handling client related inquiries.

David Stratis

Manager Tax Verification

David Stratis came to NTS in 2001. In his current position, David manages the Research Department. David is responsible for overseeing and improving process with NTS research teams including due diligence, reporting and research of commercial and residential taxes for our clients.

David Stratis has over 18 years of financial services experience, including commercial and residential property tax management, underwriting, commercial and consumer credit, collections and customer service.

Willesha Taylor

Special Servicing & Flood Team Lead

Willesha Taylor has 15 years of experience in the commercial, residential, title management and mortgage servicing areas. While working with National Tax Search she has had the experience of working at several levels of processing payments, reporting current, delinquent and sold tax information, as well as, communication updates with client matters.

In Willesha’s current position, she manages portfolio onboarding and research utilizing mapping systems, legal description interpretation and escrow/non-escrow reporting. She also works with other departments in the handling of payments and reporting to additional areas such as Canada and US Providences. She has a bachelor degree from the University of Illinois and has had previous experience in the areas of recruiting and stock market regulations.

Lisa Thomas

Sales Director

Lisa joined NTS in February, 2019.  Lisa has over 25 years of national sales, marketing and management experience in the media, mortgage, technology and valuation service industries.  Prior to NTS she held VP and sales management positions at companies including Bank of America, GMAC, CBS and NBC having won numerous sales awards over the years. She is a consultative sales expert and has built a foundation based on lasting relationships and industry knowledge. Her priority is to develop partnerships with the NTS clientele, while providing top notch service to you. 

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Southern Illinois University.  

Patricia McDonagh

Business Development – Sales Associate

Patricia McDonagh has more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry specializing in portfolio management, marketing, and customer relations. She joined NTS in 2013 and has been an integral member of both the portfolio management and business development teams. Prior to NTS, Patricia held management positions responsible for improving overall property performance, implementing sales initiatives, and executing training programs for national REIT and real estate management firms including AvalonBay Communities, Trammel Crow Residential, and VMS Realty Partners.

Ms. McDonagh is a native Chicagoan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mary Netznik

Business Development – Sales Associate

Mary Netznik came to National Tax Search in 2001 and has over 16 years of commercial and residential property tax experience.

Prior to her current position, Mary was the Manager of Customer Relations. In this position she led the portfolio management team in all levels of customer service including training, communications, problem solving, reporting, and TaxQ navigation. Her tenure with the company has made her an expert in all areas of property tax administration.

In her current position as Sales Associate, Netznik works closely with the CEO to develop corporate marketing strategies and enhance business development. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.

Anna Gutkin

Applications Development Manager

Anna Gutkin is a full stack senior application developer with over 18 years of relevant IT experience. Anna joined NTS team in 2004 and progressed from Application Developer to the role of Applications Development Manager. In her current position, Anna works in all facets of the development cycle overseeing the Development team that delivers a range of web solutions tailored for the company’s needs. She is leading the team on the initiative to modernize and re-platform TaxQ to make it more user friendly and responsive.

Anna is a Microsoft Certified Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Blitstein Institute as well as .Net certification from Computer Systems Institute.

Parker Vinson

Process Manager

Parker Vinson joined NTS in 2018 and has over 15 years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate operations. Parker worked with industry leaders including Global Financial, AAG, Hightech Lending, and Resolute Federal Savings Bank.

As Process Manager, Parker is responsible for overseeing and improving NTS operations to maximize efficiencies as well as increasing production. His thorough knowledge of both traditional and reverse mortgage lending give him unique understanding of client needs and product delivery. Parker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of California-Riverside.
